LETTER: 16 Years Experience As Justice

2-19-10

To the Editor:
My name is Michael Molloy and I am the Republican candidate for Cooperstown’s village justice.
I have served 16 years as justice for the Town of Edmeston before moving to the Cooperstown area in 2007.   During my tenure as justice, I gained knowledge and understanding of the court system with the respect from area police agencies, attorneys and District Attorney’s Office.
My experience is wide-ranging, from simple municipal traffic law to misdemeanor and felony cases.  I hold my justice certification from the Albany Law School and am a member in good standing of the New York State Magistrate Association.
My wife and I reside just minutes north of the village along Otsego Lake, and enjoy the community, culture, security and beauty that the Cooperstown area offers.
I thank those who overwhelmingly supported me at the recent caucus and to my fellow members of the Cooperstown Fire Department who encouraged me to run.
Your support on March 16 for village justice will allow me to serve this community with knowledge, professionalism, dedication and a proven record.
MICHAEL R. MOLLOY
