John Irvin, general manager of The Otesaga and The Cooper Inn, receives the State Leadership Award from the American Hotel & Lodging Association during the AH&LA’s Legislative Action Summit, March 15-16, in Washington, D.C. He was nominated by the New York State Hospitality & Tourism Association, where he currently serves on the board of directors and is vice chairman of its Legislative Representation Committee. He also serves on the AH&LA’s board of directors, on the SUNY Delhi Board of Advisers, and as board member and membership chair of the Historic Hotels of America. He and wife Nancy reside in Cooperstown. At left is AH&LA Chairman David Kong; at right, AH&LA President/CEO Joseph A. McInerney.
