Editor's Note

1-8-10

Paul Kuhn’s resignation from Cooperstown’s  Preservation & Historical Architectural Review Board and a dust-up at a previous meeting were not connected – a link made in the Dec. 25 edition – but simply coincidental.
Kuhn tendered his letter of resignation last summer, but Mayor Carol B. Waller asked him to continue serving until a replacement was found.  Wendell Tripp was named to replace Kuhn Monday, Dec. 21, the same evening village trustees discussed the other matter.
The juxtaposition suggests he is a “quitter,” Kuhn said.  Those of us who know him would never conclude that, but people who don’t might draw that incorrect conclusion
